About

Research reports shouldn't take eight weeks.
Trust shouldn't be the trade-off.

Built by NotedSource, after years of research and innovation work for the world's largest R&D teams.

Where we started

NotedSource works with R&D and innovation teams as an external research partner. When a company needs to find the bleeding edge of a technology, map what competitors are doing, or ground a decision in the published literature, our team and our network of subject-matter experts pull together everything relevant: curated, validated, and presented in full. Technology scouting, competitive landscapes, literature reviews: complex reports where being wrong is expensive.

Doing that work for years taught us exactly where the time goes. Inside most organizations, a technology landscape or scouting effort means analysts spending six to eight weeks assembling papers, patents, and vendor claims into a deck, while the market keeps moving as they build the snapshot. Being careful has always meant being slow. There simply hasn't been a better way.

Fast isn't the same as trustworthy

When AI writing tools arrived, a lot of people assumed the problem was solved. It wasn't. The output was fast, but the citations often didn't hold up. Sources that didn't say what they were cited for, or didn't exist at all. A report you can't verify, you can't use.

So the question we kept coming back to wasn't whether AI can write a research report. It's whether AI can do research a scientist would sign their name to. Every citation checked against the actual source. A human approving the scope before research starts, and the draft before it ships.

Built for the experts

That became Atlas.

Clients come to NotedSource when they want an external partner to drive research in a space they're still mapping. But over years of client work, we kept meeting the other case: teams who are the experts in their own field, who don't need a partner. They need a tool. Something that gets them across the finish line with a report that's tailored, reproducible, and robust for the question they know best, with them in the loop at every checkpoint.

And with the internal repository, Atlas combines your proprietary data with the public literature, so reports reflect not just what the world knows, but what your organization already knows.

Our mission and values

Give every research team intelligence it can trust: reports that are verified, reproducible, and ready to stand behind, delivered in hours instead of weeks.

01
Verification first

If a citation can't be checked against its source, it doesn't ship. Trust is the product.

02
Human judgement throughout

AI does the heavy lifting, but a person approves the scope and the draft. Expertise stays in the loop.

03
Reproducible by design

A report should show its work: explicit scope, documented sources, and a method someone else could re-run.

04
Speed without shortcuts

Fast only matters if the result holds up. We compress the timeline, not the rigor.

Who we are

Kofi Gyasi
Founder & CEO, NotedSource

Kofi Gyasi, the founder of NotedSource, started his career as a research scientist at Vanderbilt University, where he worked on research problems and collaborated with fellow academic researchers. His passion for innovation and external collaboration led him to work in research and innovation within corporations including at Citigroup, where he was VP of Innovation and Research. There, he managed projects that required working with external scientists, thought leaders, and new technologies, giving him firsthand experience with the challenges of external collaboration in industry settings.

Ramy Ayoub, PhD
Head of Research & Client Success, NotedSource

Ramy leads Atlas at NotedSource, where he heads Research and Client Success. He holds a PhD in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto. At NotedSource, he has spent years running research and innovation projects for enterprise clients: technology landscapes, competitive analyses, and literature reviews built with the company's network of subject-matter experts. That client work surfaced the gap Atlas was built to fill, and he now leads its research methodology and product direction.
